Conquering Gravel Trails in the Extreme Motus All-Terrain Wheelchair at the Alaska Zoo
The Alaska zoo has miles of well maintained gravel trails that lead visitors to different exhibits. Gravel can be difficult to navigate with a standard wheelchair.
The zoo has many programs to help visitors with mobility challenges enjoy their visit. Including a Motus.
Unfolding the Terrain
The Alaska Zoo stands as a testament to the wonders of the northernmost state of the United States.
With 20 acres of gravel trails, the zoo’s rugged trails offer a sanctuary for visitors to witness the likes of Siberian tigers, bald eagles, and brown bears.
In this untamed beauty, the zoo introduced an innovative means of exploration — the Extreme Motus All-Terrain Wheelchair.
Designed to traverse the most challenging landscapes, it’s an apparatus that doesn’t give in to gravel or the impenetrable Alaskan weather.
