Extreme Motus Visits the Utah State Capitol

Utah offers enchanting landscapes that beckon explorers of all abilities to wander its vast terrains. Yet, for those with mobility challenges, the notion of exploring can be tethered by accessibility concerns.

Extreme Motus was excited to be invited to the Utah Aerospace and Defence Day on the Hill event on Thursday 25th, 2024.

Introduction

Extreme Motus, with its innovative all-terrain wheelchair design, has opened doors for wheelchair users to experience the rugged beauty of Utah like never before.

Their mission? To ensure the great outdoors is accessible to all.

This resonating purpose recently took them to an event that, though seemingly unrelated, served as a testament to their growing impact.

Extreme Motus was invited to share table space with UAMMI (Utah Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Initiative).

Being a member of UAMMI has helped Extreme Motus network with other Utah manufacturing companies who have helped with R&D on our product and introduced new ones for our company.

Though our all-terrain wheelchair initially seemed a tad out of place among aerospace and defense exhibits, we seized the opportunity to showcase the synergy between technology, manufacturing, and accessibility.

Through collaboration with UAMMI, Extreme Motus has fine-tuned its product and fostered vital business connections, ensuring their wheelchairs can maneuver Utah’s diverse landscapes — from red rock canyons to bustling city centers.

Highlighting Accessibility Efforts

The event underscored the crucial narrative of inclusion and the impact of accessible travel on all visitors.

By participating, Extreme Motus underscored the importance of inclusive experiences, while also shining a light on Utah’s efforts to enhance accessibility in travel and tourism.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, signaling a heightened awareness and interest in improving access for those using mobility devices, not just within urban settings but also across state and national parks.

Conclusion

Extending beyond an ordinary visit, Extreme Motus‘ day at the Utah State Capitol was a pivotal stride toward an accessible future.

Their journey, alongside UAMMI’s support, not only fosters business growth but also catalyzes innovation that leads to genuine inclusivity.

As Extreme Motus continues to break ground with its all-terrain wheelchair, let us join in the call to action to fortify accessibility and embrace inclusive tourism.

By doing so, we ensure that the beauty of Utah, from the majestic mountaintops to the serene valley floors, can be experienced and cherished by all.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeking adventurer or a nature-loving wanderer, remember that the trails are open, and the vistas await.
