What’s with those pink Extreme Motus all-terrain wheelchairs?

You may have seen some photos circling the web of pink Extreme Motus wheelchairs. We normally only make red and blue as our standard colors.

The non-profit Ainsley’s Angels is famous for running on the road, but we see some trails in their future. Extreme Motus is happy to announce that through a partnership with Ainsley’s Angels, we are now manufacturing pink wheelchairs. We are calling this version of the Extreme Motus all-terrain wheelchair, “The Ainsley.” It’s the same lightweight, durable, all-terrain wheelchair that Sam and Ryan use on their adventures but now it’s in pink.

Sam insisted on wearing his pink tie the first time he got to sit in one. It was such a special occasion and he wanted to look nice. 🙂

Who is Ainsley’s Angels?

Ainsley’s Angels is a non-profit organization that aims to build awareness and create inclusion for individuals with disabilities through their unique running program. Their mission is to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in endurance events, such as marathons and triathlons, regardless of their physical abilities.

The organization was founded by Major Kim “Rooster” Rossiter in 2008, who was inspired by his daughter Ainsley. Ainsley had been diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD), a rare terminal illness that affects the central nervous system. Despite her condition, Ainsley loved being active and included in community events.

The video below highlights all the amazing events they were able to hold in 2023. What an amazing effort that touched so many people across the country.

The first chair we sent to Ainsley’s Angels was to Oklahoma where Sean Lewis got to be the test pilot at Lubell Park in Tusla.

Lubbell Park is a beautiful and spacious park located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It spans over 40 acres and offers various amenities for visitors to enjoy, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

The park features multiple trails for walking, jogging, and biking, allowing individuals of all abilities to explore the outdoors. It also has playgrounds, picnic areas, and sports fields for families to have fun together.

It was so fun to see his videos and read his report on how much he enjoyed the chair.

“This chair is an Extreme Motus and designed for trail running and IT IS AWESOME!!!!! Johnny Williams and I have talked about what kind of chair someone like me would need to do this and he’d been researching. He found this one and together he and Jana got it for our chapter. Guess who got to try out that baby for the first time? Yep….yours truly!👊

Without me knowing exactly what we were doing….I have sneaky sneaky friends you all,Johnny asked me if I could help him with something and to meet him at Lubell Park yesterday evening. So we met them not sure what we were doing since I knew NOTHING!🤣Jana and he wanted me to be the first to try it out and see what I thought. The founder, Kim Rooster Rossiter of our main organization Ainsley’s Angels of America , was waiting to see how it went and if approved he could recommend it to our other chapters all across the United States. We’ll let’s see🤔….what do Johnny and I think about this chair??? That would be a huge….YES!! LET’S DO IT!!!”
